We are Paula and Marella, and we have lived in Whaley Bridge for over thirty years between us. We realised that coming out of the pandemic lots of people were working from home, often in cramped or unsuitable conditions, or in isolation and were craving company. Whaley Bridge Coworkers was born out of a desire to help people with these issues and to create a community of like minded people. We want to keep the village alive by encouraging the use of local facilities and shops., We also wanted to provide a centre in the village that can be used by individuals and community groups in the evening and at weekends for meetings, workshops and groups and promote local artists through exhibitions and events.
"Our mission is to provide a not-for-profit, community-focused workspace for people who work from home. We aim to enhance working lives, support mental well-being, and promote local businesses while contributing to a reduced carbon footprint."

Gallery space for hire.
Wall space costs £30 per month.
Launch evening £20 and Saturday morning opening £20.
Other times available on request.
Workshop rental Full day £120, Half day £70.
Tea and coffee provided.

Myself and a colleague worked here today whilst we wait to move into our permanent office space in Manchester. Marella welcomed us with a cup of tea and biscuits and was on hand to help as we got set up. The space is bright and airy with monitors and privacy screens. Great wi-fi connection. Great central location with a choice of lunch options locally. Some beautiful artwork on the walls too which is available to buy. We'll definitely be back soon!

I used this office space for a few hours to complete college work. It was very easy to book and the time slots are very flexible. The wifi connection was very strong and the workspaces were a good size with privacy partitions between each workspace. I took my laptop and was easily able to use the monitor provided. The office is quiet so perfect for concentration. Marella was very welcoming, offering hot/cold drinks and complimentary biscuits. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a quiet and professional workspace!
